13/2/12  - The Ecocubs Nappy library is on hiatus for a few weeks whilst Lana, our nappy library manager, welcomes a new bub!

Please pop your name down here to be notified when the nappy library will be back online!

You will be contacted and then this list will be deleted a few weeks after Lana is back working again and we will not ‘spam’ you with any other information other than about the nappy library.

We recommend reading all wash and care instructions prior to using any nappies.

Under no circumstances are you to use fabric softeners, vinegar, napisan or bleach on the nappies or nappy accessories. Please do not use any washing powders that contain optical brightners, whitners or enzymes. We recommend Rockin Green (and supply it in the library packs).

Never use nappy rash/bottom creams without some sort of liner protecting the inside of the nappy. If a cream comes in direct contact with the nappy, it can ruin and stain it, so we always recommend using a micro fleece liner. An alternative is to use corn starch/powder or a natural nappy rash cream such as brauers. If you are having issues with nappy rash at all, please contact us for some helpful suggestions!

If it is necessary to use a dryer, please make sure it is always on a LOW temperature setting.

Please ensure any nappies with Velcro are fastened prior to washing and drying.

We always recommend using some sort of antibacterial rinse (such as canestan rinse or dettol rinse) when washing nappies. If you are unable to do this, please ensure nappies are hung out in direct sunlight for at least a day with the inside of the nappy face out. This kills any bacteria, freshens nappy’s to prevent smells and bleaches any stains that may occur.

Ecocubs requires some form of security bond with every hire.

We require two weeks hire payment in advance with a maximum four weeks hire. We also require your credit card details to ensure that 1) we get the nappies back and 2) The nappies and accessories come back in the same condition they were sent out.

If nappies come back with any issues, we will always contact you first to discuss.

What we consider to be inadequate condition:

  1. Nappy’s have lost absorbency due to use of fabric softeners or vinegar
  2. Nappy’s have been soaked in chemicals such as napisan which again, has affected their absorbency
  3. Nappy’s have stains that are unable to be removed eg. Grease or oil stains from using a nappy rash cream
  4. Nappies have been in any way permanently altered
  5. PUL in the nappies is damaged due to excess heat (such as using a HOT temperature setting on the dryer)

You will also be charged the RRP for any single nappies that are not returned.

Please the checklist included in your pack to ensure sure all items are there when returning them.

Ecocubs will not be responsible for items that go missing in the post and therefore, we recommend using registered post when returning nappies. You will be charged if nappies are not returned to us.

If for any reason you cannot return the nappies within the required four weeks, please contact us to discuss.

All nappies are washed, sanitised with antibacterial and antifungal wash and put in the sun for a minimum of one day prior to any hire.
